Sizes for Shade Ports are sized to the number of vehicles they can cover. A single shade port can provide cover for 1 x vehicle. These are our most common sizes but we can also provide you with custom sizes for carports and shade ports or if you need one to cover a small patio.
Various colours of shade cloth and poles are available and can be colour coded.
The steel we used for the framework is only A grade steel and all shade netting used is 90-95% UV sun block out. There is now a completely waterproof shade netting available on the market too where no mist spray comes through the shade net whilst raining. The shade net is sewn together with a double needle stitch for maximum strength and a galvanised cable is used to secure the shade cloth to the steel framework. Re-stitching and replacement of old nets also done.
We do repairs and maintenance to existing structures, nets are replaced at a reasonable cost to extend the lifetime of your shade port.

Do you need building plans for a shade Port?
According to Sans10400 a carport construction under falls into the ‘Minor Building Works’… “open-sided car, caravan or boat shelters or carports that do not exceed 40 square metres in size”. This means you are free to get your Carport installed without needing plans although it is always a good idea to check with your local municipality to be sure.
